Video, 17’00” looped, displayed on a metal fence, dimension variable
The fabric moves in artificial conditions and simulates the movement of a flag in the wind, with the clenched fist and the red and white scarf, You’ll newer walk alone written below. The video is displayed on a monitor fixed to a fence which serves to guide the audience at commercial events or to prevent demonstrators to break through protected areas. The artefact from the past moves and simulates the monumental show of a flag in the wind mounted on a metal barricade, demystifying the fragility of a symbol as well as the implication it potentially produces in an individual or in certain systems.
